After playing the games a few times over the years (both the "vanilla" and the complete versions that gamers call these days), the Darksiders series does give off that Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver vibe. Hell. The character Death even slightly look like Raziel from the old franchise. It's even confirm by the creators themselves.
